What would you do with your life if you were a son of the most famous Saddlebred trainer of his era?
Earl Teater, best known as master showman for Dodge Stables, won countless championships across the nation during a long career. His most famous champion was the extraordinary CHWing Commander. Earl and Wing were even the subjects of a feature article in Life magazine, as both man and horse became icons in the equine world.
Earl had three sons…Pete, Lou, and Ed.
Each followed different paths into the world of horses and each grappled with and celebrated his father’s fame. This exhibit explores the ways in which the brothers excelled in their own lives.
This exhibit is sponsored in memory of Edward M. Teater by Mary Ann Teater Pardieck and Louis Duncan Teater, Jr.
