Gift Shop Associate

The American Saddlebred Museum is seeking a part-time Gift Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors of the Museum and representing the face of the Museum to visitors of the Kentucky Horse Park. As a Gift Shop Associate, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, assisting with their purchases, and maintaining the appearance of the gift shop. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating the cash register and handling financial transactions accurately.

Responsibilities:
Greet visitors to the gift shop and provide exceptional customer service
Assist visitors with their purchases and answer any questions they may have
Maintain the appearance of the gift shop and restock merchandise as needed
Operate the cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
Keep up-to-date with knowledge about Museum exhibits and events
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Knowledge and passion for American Saddlebred horses and the Museum's mission preferred
Availability to work weekends and some holidays
