Lexington, KY (December 10, 2024) – The American Saddlebred Museum is thrilled to announce the addition of John Privette as its new Director of Development. Privette, a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in equestrian media, brings unparalleled expertise and enthusiasm for the American Saddlebred to the Museum’s mission of preserving and promoting the breed’s rich history.
Privette has served as the Managing Editor of Horse World magazine for the past 19 years, where he cultivated a deep understanding of the horse industry and a reputation for excellence in telling the stories of the breed and its enthusiasts.
As Director of Development, Privette will oversee fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and strategic partnerships to ensure the Museum continues to thrive as a leading institution dedicated to the American Saddlebred. His primary goals include expanding the Museum’s donor base, developing innovative fundraising campaigns, and fostering connections within the equine community and beyond to support the Museum’s growing educational and preservation efforts.
